Brownsville Station was an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1969. The band's most well-known lineup consisted of members Cub Koda on guitar and vocals, Michael Lutz on bass, and Henry Weck on drums. Brownsville Station is best known for their hit single "Smokin' in the Boys Room," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973. The song was included on their album "Yeah!" which was released the same year.
In addition to "Smokin' in the Boys Room," Brownsville Station released several other albums throughout the 1970s, including "A Night on the Town" and "School Punks." They were known for their energetic live performances and a sound that combined elements of rock and roll, blues, and boogie. The band continued to perform and record music until the early 1980s, leaving behind a legacy of high-energy rock music that has influenced generations of musicians.
