Brownsville Station was an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1969. The band's original lineup consisted of members Cub Koda, Michael Lutz, T.J. Cronley, and Tony Driggins. They were known for their high-energy live performances and a sound that blended elements of rock, blues, and boogie. Brownsville Station gained popularity in the early 1970s with their hit single "Smokin' in the Boys Room," which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973.
The band released a total of seven studio albums between 1970 and 1979, with their most successful being "Yeah!" in 1973. Brownsville Station disbanded in the early 1980s, but their music continued to be influential in the rock genre. Despite not achieving widespread commercial success, Brownsville Station is remembered as a cult favorite among rock fans for their energetic performances and catchy songs.
