Lauv, born as Ari Staprans Leff, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer known for his emotive pop sound and introspective lyrics. He gained recognition with his song "I Like Me Better" in 2017 and has since collaborated with various artists. Lauv's collaboration with BTS on the remix of "Make It Right" in 2019 helped the song achieve success on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, showcasing his ability to blend his style with different genres and artists.
