Artist Bio:
Buck Owens was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was a leading figure in the development of the Bakersfield Sound, a style of country music that emerged in the 1950s and 1960s. He was born on August 12, 1929, in Sherman, Texas, and passed away on March 25, 2006, in Bakersfield, California. Owens found success in the music industry with hits such as "Act Naturally," "Together Again," and "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail."


Owens was known for his signature red, white, and blue guitar, as well as his distinctive twangy vocals. He was a pioneer in the country music genre and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Owens also co-hosted the popular television show "Hee Haw" from 1969 to 1986, which further solidified his status as a country music icon.
