Artist Bio:
Buck Owens was an American musician and singer-songwriter who was a leading figure in the development of the Bakersfield Sound, a style of country music characterized by a raw and stripped-down sound. Born in 1929 in Texas, Owens found success in the 1960s with hits such as "Act Naturally" and "Love's Gonna Live Here".
In addition to his music career, Owens was also known for his role as the co-host of the television show "Hee Haw" from 1969 to 1986, which helped him reach a wider audience and solidify his status as a country music icon. Owens was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996 and continued to perform and record music until his passing in 2006.
