Buddy Jewell is an American country music singer and songwriter. He was born on April 2, 1961, in Lepanto, Arkansas. Jewell gained national recognition after winning the first season of the reality television show "Nashville Star" in 2003. Following his win, he signed a record deal with Columbia Records and released his self-titled debut album in 2003, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album featured the hit single "Help Pour Out the Rain (Lacey's Song)," which reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.


Since his debut, Buddy Jewell has released several albums, including "Times Like These" in 2005 and "Country Enough" in 2008. He continues to perform and record music, staying true to his traditional country roots. Jewell has also co-written songs for other artists and remains active in the country music scene.
