He is best known for his hit song "Party Doll," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1957. Knox was a part of the rockabilly music scene in the 1950s and was one of the first artists to achieve success in this genre.
In addition to "Party Doll," Knox had other charting songs such as "Hula Love" and "Lovey Dovey." He continued to record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although he never reached the same level of success as he did with "Party Doll." Buddy Knox passed away on February 14, 1999, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of rockabilly music.
