Buddy Miles was an American rock and funk drummer, vocalist, composer, and producer. He was born on September 5, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska, and passed away on February 26, 2008, in Austin, Texas. Miles is best known for his work as a member of the band The Electric Flag and for his collaborations with Jimi Hendrix, particularly in the band Band of Gypsys.


Miles released several solo albums throughout his career, including "Them Changes" in 1970, which featured the popular title track. He was known for his powerful drumming style and soulful vocals, influencing many musicians in the rock and funk genres.
