Burton Cummings is a Canadian musician and songwriter who is best known as the lead singer and keyboardist of the rock band The Guess Who. He was born on December 31, 1947, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cummings joined The Guess Who in 1965 and played a key role in the band's success during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was known for his distinctive voice and songwriting contributions to the band.


After leaving The Guess Who in 1975, Burton Cummings pursued a successful solo career. He released several albums as a solo artist, including hits like "Stand Tall" and "You Saved My Soul." Cummings was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Guess Who in 1987. He continues to perform and tour as a solo artist, showcasing his enduring talent and musical legacy.
