Artist Bio:
Buster Brown was an American blues and R&B singer and harmonica player, born as Wayman Glasco in 1911 in Georgia. He is best known for his hit song "Fannie Mae" released in 1959, which reached number one on the Billboard R&B chart and number 38 on the pop chart. Brown started his music career in the 1940s, performing in clubs and recording for various record labels including Fire Records and Checker Records.


Aside from "Fannie Mae," Brown had several other successful singles such as "Lost in a Dream," "Doctor Brown," and "Sugar Babe." He was known for his energetic live performances and his distinctive harmonica playing style. Brown's music had a significant influence on the development of blues and R&B music. He continued to perform and record music throughout his career, leaving a lasting impact on the music industry before his passing in 1976.
