Canned Heat is an American blues and boogie rock band that was formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The band gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s for their energetic live performances and their fusion of blues, rock, and boogie music. Canned Heat's lineup has changed over the years, with several different members contributing to the band's sound.


The band is best known for their hit singles "On the Road Again" and "Going Up the Country," both of which were released in the late 1960s. Canned Heat has also collaborated with other well-known musicians, including John Lee Hooker and Little Richard. Despite various lineup changes and personal challenges, Canned Heat has managed to maintain a loyal fan base and continues to perform and record music to this day.
