The Cannonball Adderley Orchestra was led by the renowned American jazz saxophonist, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. Cannonball Adderley himself was considered one of the greatest alto saxophonists in the history of jazz music, known for his rich tone, virtuosic improvisation, and energetic performances.
