Captain & Tennille was an American pop music duo consisting of husband and wife Daryl Dragon (Captain) and Toni Tennille. They achieved mainstream success in the 1970s with their hit song "Love Will Keep Us Together," which won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1976. The duo continued to release a string of successful singles throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Captain & Tennille's music was characterized by their catchy melodies, Tennille's powerful vocals, and Dragon's skillful keyboard playing. They also hosted their own television variety show, "The Captain & Tennille Show," which aired from 1976 to 1977. The duo's music was known for its easy-listening, pop sound and they were considered one of the most successful husband-and-wife musical acts of the 1970s. Captain & Tennille continued to perform and record music together until their divorce in 2014.
