Artist Bio:
Captain & Tennille was an American pop music duo consisting of husband and wife Daryl Dragon (Captain) and Toni Tennille. They achieved massive success in the 1970s with their catchy pop songs, including their biggest hit "Love Will Keep Us Together," which won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1975. The duo's music was known for its easy-listening style and romantic lyrics, appealing to a wide audience.
Captain & Tennille released a string of hit singles and albums throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, including songs like "Muskrat Love" and "Do That to Me One More Time." They also hosted their own television variety show, "The Captain and Tennille Show," which ran for one season in 1976. The duo's successful music career eventually declined, leading them to separate both personally and professionally in 2014. Toni Tennille continued to perform as a solo artist, while Daryl Dragon sadly passed away in 2019.
