Artist Bio:
Carl Dobkins, Jr. was an American singer and songwriter born on January 13, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He rose to fame in the late 1950s with his hit song "My Heart is an Open Book," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1959. Dobkins was known for his smooth vocal style and often performed in the rock and roll and pop genres.

Despite his initial success, Dobkins struggled to maintain his popularity in the following years. He continued to record music and perform live throughout the 1960s and 1970s but never achieved the same level of commercial success as he did with his early hits. Dobkins eventually retired from the music industry but continued to be remembered for his contributions to the rock and roll genre. He passed away on April 8, 2008, at the age of 67.
