Carl Wilson was an American musician best known as a founding member of the iconic rock band The Beach Boys. Born on December 21, 1946, in Hawthorne, California, Wilson was the younger brother of bandmates Brian and Dennis Wilson. He played multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, and keyboards, and provided lead and backing vocals for the group. Wilson was known for his smooth tenor voice and played a significant role in shaping the band's signature harmonies.


Throughout his career with The Beach Boys, Wilson contributed to numerous hit songs, including "Good Vibrations," "God Only Knows," and "Wouldn't It Be Nice." He also released solo material, including the critically acclaimed album "Carl Wilson" in 1981. Wilson tragically passed away on February 6, 1998, at the age of 51 after battling lung cancer. Despite his untimely death, Carl Wilson's musical contributions continue to be celebrated and remembered by fans and music enthusiasts around the world.
