Carla Thomas was the first female artist to achieve success at Stax Records and was a significant contributor to the label's rise to prominence in the 1960s. She collaborated with artists like Otis Redding and Rufus Thomas, who was her father. Thomas's soulful voice and emotive delivery earned her a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll." Throughout her career, she continued to perform and record music, leaving a lasting impact on the music industry.
