Carly Simon is an American singer-songwriter, born on June 25, 1945, in New York City. She rose to fame in the 1970s with her hit song "You're So Vain," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Simon has released over 20 studio albums throughout her career, with several of her songs becoming popular hits, such as "Anticipation," "Nobody Does It Better," and "Mockingbird."


In addition to her successful music career, Carly Simon has also written children's books and memoirs. She has won multiple Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 1972 and Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1988. Simon was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994, recognizing her talent and contribution to the music industry.
