He adopted the stage name Cat Stevens in the early 1970s and released numerous hit songs, including "Wild World," "Father and Son," and "Peace Train." In 1977, Cat Stevens converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusuf Islam. He took a hiatus from his music career but returned in the late 2000s with a new album. Stevens was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, recognizing his significant contributions to the music industry.
