Artist Bio:
C.C.S. was a British musical group formed in 1970 by Alexis Korner, a renowned blues musician and radio broadcaster. The band's name stood for Collective Consciousness Society. They were primarily known for their instrumental cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," which became a hit in the UK in 1971, reaching number 13 on the charts.
C.C.S. had a unique sound that blended elements of rock, jazz, and funk, with a particular focus on brass instrumentation. The band released several albums throughout the early 1970s, showcasing their ability to reinterpret popular rock songs with their own distinctive style. Despite their success with "Whole Lotta Love," C.C.S. did not achieve the same level of commercial success with their original material, and they disbanded in 1973.
