Chaka Khan, born Yvette Marie Stevens on March 23, 1953, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus before launching a successful solo career. Known for her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, Khan is considered a pioneer of funk, R&B, and soul music. She has won 10 Grammy Awards and has released numerous hit songs, including "I'm Every Woman," "Ain't Nobody," and "I Feel for You."
