The group was led by producer and songwriter Jacques Fred Petrus, along with Mauro Malavasi, who was the main composer and arranger. Change found success in the early 1980s with their blend of disco, funk, and soul music. Their debut album, "The Glow of Love," released in 1980, featured the hit single of the same name, which became a dancefloor classic.
Change released a total of seven studio albums between 1980 and 1985, with their music characterized by lush production, smooth vocals, and catchy melodies. The group underwent several lineup changes over the years, with different vocalists contributing to their sound. Despite disbanding in the late 1980s, Change left a lasting impact on the disco and dance music scenes, with their music continuing to be celebrated by fans and sampled by contemporary artists.
