Artist Bio:
Charles Brown was an American blues singer and pianist born in Texas in 1922. He was known for his smooth and soulful vocal delivery, as well as his elegant piano playing style. Brown's music often blended elements of blues, jazz, and R&B, earning him a reputation as a pioneer of the West Coast blues sound.


Brown rose to prominence in the 1940s and 1950s with hits such as "Driftin' Blues" and "Please Come Home for Christmas." He was a significant influence on the development of rhythm and blues music and has been credited with shaping the sound of early rock and roll. Brown's music continues to be celebrated for its emotional depth and sophisticated musical arrangements. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1999 and passed away in 1999 at the age of 76.
