Artist Bio:
Charley Pride was an American country music singer and guitarist. He was born on March 18, 1934, in Sledge, Mississippi, and passed away on December 12, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. Pride was one of the few African-American artists to have success in the predominantly white country music industry.

Pride signed with RCA Records in 1966 and went on to release numerous hit singles, including "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'" and "Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone." He had a successful career with over 50 top 10 hits on the country charts. Pride was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. Throughout his career, he broke barriers and paved the way for other African-American artists in the country music genre.
