The band consists of members Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass), and Daxx Nielsen (drums). Known for their catchy melodies, energetic live performances, and the use of power pop and hard rock elements in their music, Cheap Trick gained popularity in the late 1970s and 1980s with hits like "Surrender," "I Want You to Want Me," and "Dream Police."
The band achieved mainstream success with their breakthrough album "Cheap Trick at Budokan" in 1979, which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
