Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally named Chicago Transit Authority but later shortened it to Chicago. Known for their eclectic mix of rock, jazz, and pop music, Chicago achieved great success in the 1970s with hits like "Saturday in the Park," "25 or 6 to 4," and "If You Leave Me Now."


With a distinctive horn section and complex arrangements, Chicago became one of the best-selling music groups of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide. They have released numerous albums, with their debut album, "Chicago Transit Authority," being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Chicago has also received multiple Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
