Chris Cornell was an American musician and singer-songwriter, born on July 20, 1964, in Seattle, Washington. He was best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. Cornell was a key figure in the grunge movement of the 1990s, with Soundgarden being one of the most successful bands of the era. Their hits include "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman."
Apart from his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave, Cornell also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums showcasing his powerful and distinctive voice. He was known for his wide vocal range and emotional delivery. In addition to his music career, Cornell was also involved in philanthropy, supporting various charities and causes. Sadly, Chris Cornell passed away on May 18, 2017, at the age of 52.
