Artist Bio:
Christie is a British pop/rock band formed in 1969. The band is best known for their hit song "Yellow River," which was released in 1970 and reached the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart. The song also achieved success in the United States, where it peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Christie was formed by Jeff Christie, who was the lead vocalist and bassist for the band. Other members of the band included guitarist Vic Elmes, keyboardist Michael Blakley, and drummer Mike Blakley. Despite the success of "Yellow River," Christie was unable to replicate the same level of success with their subsequent releases. The band eventually disbanded in the mid-1970s, but their catchy hit song "Yellow River" remains a classic of the era.
