Chuck Jackson is an American R&B and soul singer who rose to fame in the 1960s. He was born on July 22, 1937, in Latta, South Carolina. Jackson began his music career as a member of the Del-Vikings before embarking on a successful solo career. He signed with Wand Records in 1961 and released his debut album, "I Don't Want to Cry," which spawned the hit single of the same name.
