Chuck Jackson is an American R&B and soul singer born on July 22, 1937, in Latta, South Carolina. He began his music career in the 1950s as a member of the doo-wop group, The Del-Vikings. In the 1960s, he pursued a solo career and signed with Wand Records where he released his first hit single, "I Don't Want to Cry" in 1961. This was followed by other successful singles such as "Any Day Now" and "I Keep Forgettin'." Jackson's soulful voice and emotional delivery earned him a reputation as one of the finest vocalists in the genre.


Throughout his career, Chuck Jackson collaborated with various artists and producers, including Burt Bacharach and Hal David. He continued to release music and perform well into the 2000s, keeping his soulful sound alive for new generations of music lovers.
