Clarence "Frogman" Henry is an American rhythm and blues singer and pianist who was born on March 19, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is best known for his 1956 hit song "Ain't Got No Home," which reached number 3 on the Billboard R&B chart and number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Henry's unique vocal style, which included imitating frog sounds, earned him the nickname "Frogman."
In addition to "Ain't Got No Home," Clarence Henry had several other hits in the 1950s and 1960s, including "You Always Hurt the One You Love" and "But I Do." He continued to perform and record music throughout his career, and in 2007, he was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Clarence Henry's distinctive voice and energetic performances have made him a memorable figure in the history of rhythm and blues music.
