Artist Bio:
Classics IV was an American pop rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in the mid-1960s. The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Dennis Yost, guitarist James Cobb, keyboardist Dean Daughtry, bassist Wally Eaton, and drummer Kim Venable. They are best known for their hit songs "Spooky" and "Stormy," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the late 1960s. "Spooky" in particular became a signature song for the band and has been covered by various artists over the years.
Classics IV went through several lineup changes over the years, with Yost being the only constant member. The band continued to release music throughout the 1970s, but they never quite matched the success they had in the late 1960s. Despite this, Classics IV remains a notable band in the pop rock genre and their music continues to be enjoyed by fans of 1960s music.
