Artist Bio:
Claudine Longet is a French singer, actress, and dancer who gained popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. She was born on January 29, 1942, in Paris, France. Longet began her career as a singer in France before moving to the United States where she became known for her appearances on popular TV shows such as "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "The Andy Williams Show."


Longet also pursued an acting career, appearing in films such as "The Party" alongside Peter Sellers. She gained further attention for her romantic involvement with singer Andy Williams. In 1976, she was involved in a highly publicized incident in which she fatally shot her boyfriend, ski champion Spider Sabich. Longet was charged with manslaughter and eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail and three years' probation.
