Clefs of Lavender Hill was a 1960s American garage rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed in 1965 and consisted of members including lead vocalist and guitarist Bill Hofstetter, guitarist Tom DeZurik, bassist George Beyer, keyboardist Rick Ambel and drummer Joe Whiting. They were known for their psychedelic and folk-rock sound, drawing inspiration from bands like The Byrds and The Beatles.
Clefs of Lavender Hill released a handful of singles during their brief career, including "First Tell Me Why" and "Stop! Get a Ticket". Despite their limited commercial success, the band is remembered as a notable example of the garage rock scene of the 1960s. Their music has since become sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of the genre.
