Clipse is an American hip hop duo formed in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1992. The duo consists of brothers Gene "No Malice" Thornton and Terrence "Pusha T" Thornton. They gained recognition in the early 2000s for their unique style and lyrical content, often rapping about drug dealing and street life. Clipse released their debut album, "Lord Willin'," in 2002, which was well-received by critics and fans alike.
In 2006, Clipse released their second album, "Hell Hath No Fury," which received critical acclaim and is considered a classic in the hip hop genre. The duo has collaborated with artists such as Pharrell Williams and Kanye West, further solidifying their place in the hip hop scene. Despite their success, Clipse announced a hiatus in 2010 to focus on their solo careers.
