Collective Soul is an American rock band formed in Stockbridge, Georgia in 1992. The band was originally known as Ed Roland and the Sweet Tea Project before changing their name to Collective Soul. The group consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, lead guitarist Jesse Triplett, and drummer Johnny Rabb.
Collective Soul gained popularity in the 1990s with hit songs like "Shine," "The World I Know," and "December." They have released multiple successful albums, including their debut album "Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid" in 1993, which went double platinum. The band's musical style is a mix of alternative rock, post-grunge, and hard rock. Over the years, Collective Soul has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to tour and release new music.
