Collective Soul is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Stockbridge, Georgia. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Ed Roland, lead guitarist Jesse Triplett, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb, and rhythm guitarist Dean Roland. They achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with hit singles like "Shine," "The World I Know," and "December."


Collective Soul has released multiple albums, including their debut album "Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid" in 1993, which included their breakthrough hit "Shine." They have received critical acclaim and won several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their song "December" in 1995. Over the years, Collective Soul has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to tour and release new music.
