Artist Bio:
Commodores is an American funk and soul band formed in 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama. The group's original members included Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, William King, Ronald LaPread, and Walter "Clyde" Orange. They are best known for their string of hits in the 1970s and 1980s, including "Brick House," "Easy," and "Three Times a Lady."


The Commodores achieved commercial success and critical acclaim, winning a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for their song "Nightshift" in 1985. They also received multiple nominations for Grammy Awards and American Music Awards throughout their career. The group's music blends elements of funk, soul, and pop, and they have maintained a dedicated fan base over the years.
