Artist Bio:
The Commodores are an American funk and soul band formed in 1968. The group was originally known as the "Commodores Band" and consisted of members from Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. Over the years, the band's lineup has changed, with Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, Ronald LaPread, Walter Orange, and William King being some of the original members.

The Commodores gained fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "Brick House," "Three Times a Lady," and "Easy." They were signed to Motown Records and became one of the label's most successful acts. The band's music is characterized by a mix of funk, soul, and R&B, and they have won several awards, including a Grammy for their song "Nightshift." The Commodores have sold over 75 million records worldwide and remain a popular live act, continuing to perform to this day.
