Artist Bio:
The Commodores are an American funk and soul band formed in 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama. The group's original lineup consisted of Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, William King, Ronald LaPread, and Walter "Clyde" Orange. They gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "Brick House," "Easy," and "Three Times a Lady."

The Commodores achieved commercial success with a string of top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned a Grammy Award for their song "Nightshift." Lionel Richie eventually left the group to pursue a successful solo career in the 1980s. Despite the lineup changes over the years, the Commodores continue to perform and tour, with hits that have become classics in the funk and soul genres.
