Artist Bio:
The Commodores are an American funk and soul band that formed in 1968 at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. The group gained fame in the 1970s with hit songs such as "Brick House," "Easy," and "Three Times a Lady." They were known for their tight musicianship, catchy melodies, and smooth vocal harmonies. The Commodores were signed to Motown Records and were one of the label's most successful acts during their time there.

The band's lineup included Lionel Richie as the lead vocalist and saxophonist, and they achieved commercial success with numerous top 10 hits on the Billboard charts. The Commodores won a Grammy Award for their song "Nightshift" in 1985. Over the years, the band experienced various lineup changes, with Richie eventually leaving to pursue a successful solo career. Despite these changes, the Commodores have continued to perform and tour, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of funk and soul music.
