Artist Bio:
The Commodores are an American funk/soul band formed in 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama. The group gained popularity in the 1970s with hits like "Brick House" and "Three Times a Lady." The band's lineup included Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, Ronald LaPread, Walter Orange, and William King. In the 1980s, Lionel Richie left the group for a successful solo career, and the Commodores continued to release music with varying degrees of success. "Nightshift" was one of their last major hits before the band went through several lineup changes and pursued other projects.
