Artist Bio:
The Commodores are an American funk and soul band formed in 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama. The group was originally known as the Commodores, but they later dropped "the" from their name. The band's original lineup consisted of Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, William King, Ronald LaPread, and Walter "Clyde" Orange. They gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "Brick House," "Easy," and "Three Times a Lady."

The Commodores achieved commercial success with their blend of funk, soul, and R&B music, earning seven number one singles and a Grammy Award for their hit song "Nightshift." Over the years, the group's lineup has changed, with Lionel Richie leaving to pursue a successful solo career. Despite these changes, the Commodores continue to perform and tour, delighting fans with their classic hits and enduring musical legacy.
