Coven is often credited as one of the pioneers of the occult rock genre, influencing later bands like Black Sabbath and Ghost.

Despite their early influence on the genre, Coven did not achieve mainstream success and eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. However, they have since gained a cult following among fans of occult and psychedelic rock music.
