Artist Bio:
Creed is an American rock band that formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. The band consists of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Creed gained popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their blend of post-grunge and alternative rock sound. They released their debut album "My Own Prison" in 1997, which achieved multi-platinum status and included hit singles like "My Own Prison" and "Torn." The band's second album, "Human Clay," released in 1999, was even more successful, featuring the chart-topping singles "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher."
Despite their commercial success, Creed faced internal conflicts and a backlash from critics for their perceived formulaic sound and lyrics. The band went on hiatus in 2004, with members pursuing solo projects. They reunited in 2009 and released their fourth album, "Full Circle," but eventually disbanded again in 2012. Creed's music continues to have a dedicated fan base, and their impact on the post-grunge genre remains significant.
