Creedence Clearwater Revival, often referred to as CCR, was an American rock band formed in 1967 in El Cerrito, California. The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. CCR had a string of hits in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Fortunate Son."
In 2019, John Fogerty announced a new project titled "Creedence Clearwater Revival Featuring John Fogerty," distinguishing it from the original band. This project allowed Fogerty to perform the band's classic hits and pay tribute to CCR's legacy while showcasing his continued musical talents. The project has been well-received by fans, as it provides an opportunity to experience the timeless music of Creedence Clearwater Revival in a live setting.
