Artist Bio:
Creedence Clearwater Revival, often referred to as CCR, was an American rock band formed in 1967 in El Cerrito, California. The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. CCR gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s with a string of hit singles, including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Fortunate Son." Their music is characterized by a roots rock and swamp rock sound, drawing inspiration from blues, rockabilly, and country music.

CCR's music often reflected social and political issues of the time, with a sound that was both raw and energetic. Despite their relatively short career, Creedence Clearwater Revival remains one of the most influential and enduring American rock bands, with their songs continuing to be celebrated and covered by artists across different genres.
