Crowded House is a rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1985. The band was originally formed by New Zealand-born singer-songwriter Neil Finn, who was previously a member of the band Split Enz. The original lineup of Crowded House also included Nick Seymour on bass and Paul Hester on drums. The band's music is known for its melodic pop-rock sound and thoughtful lyrics.
Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986, which included the hit singles "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong." The band achieved international success with subsequent albums such as "Temple of Low Men" and "Woodface." Crowded House disbanded in 1996 but reunited in 2007 and have continued to release music and tour since then. In 2020, Crowded House released their seventh studio album, "Dreamers Are Waiting."
