Crown Heights Affair is an American R&B, funk, and disco group formed in Brooklyn, New York in the early 1970s. The band's original members included William Anderson, Raymond Rock, Philip Thomas, and Bert Reid, among others. Their music was characterized by its infectious grooves, soulful vocals, and danceable rhythms, which helped them gain popularity during the disco era of the 1970s.


Crown Heights Affair is best known for their hits such as "Dreaming a Dream," "Dancin'," and "You Gave Me Love." They were signed to De-Lite Records, where they released several albums that showcased their blend of funky instrumentals and smooth harmonies. The group continued to record and perform throughout the 1980s, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
