Crystal Gayle, born Brenda Gail Webb on January 9, 1951, is an American country music singer known for her smooth voice and long, flowing hair. She is the younger sister of the legendary country singer Loretta Lynn. Gayle found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of hits including "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," which won her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Throughout her career, Crystal Gayle has released over 20 studio albums and charted more than 20 number one hits on the Billboard Country charts. She has also achieved crossover success with her music reaching the pop charts. Gayle was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2017, solidifying her status as a country music icon.
